The West Chester Area School District has the following position available:

 

 

1.0 Campus Security Office - Rusting High School

 

 

SUMMARY:

 

The Campus Safety Officer (CSO) will oversee and monitor safety and well-being of property, students, faculty and staff at school sites within the District.  As directed, the CSO will enforce applicable West Chester Area School District policies and procedures; individual school rules and regulations; and assist in the maintenance of an orderly and safe school environment.  Working with the Public Safety Supervisor and subordinate to the school Principal, the CSO will chair the School Safety Team and work closely with the School Crisis Team to enhance the safe school learning environment and support the School All-Hazard Plan as it relates to mitigation and prevention, preparedness, response and recovery to an emergency or crisis.

QUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.

 

 

* If not current, training will be arranged prior to commencement of duties.

** If not currently present, certification of successful completion must be obtained within six (6) months of employment.
