West Chester Area School District has a vacancy for a part -time custodian. This position performs various tasks in order to maintain cleanliness/appearance both inside and outside of their assigned building. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

Daily Tasks: (include but not limited to)

  1. Dusting all top and flat surfaces.
  2. Emptying pencil sharpeners.
  3. Cleaning chalk boards with damp cloth.
  4. Dust mop or vacuum all floors.  
  5. Wet mop all hallway floors which are not carpeted.
  6. Clean all toilet fixtures and wet mop floors.
  7. Dump trash from large container into dumpster.
  8. Buff and scrub floors using floor scrubbers.
  9. Emptying trash and recycling material.
  10. Pickup paper and debris outside of the building as needed. 
  11. Lifting and moving of furniture and or boxes.
