West Chester Area School District has the following translator/interpreter services supplemental contract position open District wide:

Salary: Curriculum rate

 

Description: This position will support a positive parent-teacher-school engagement for the benefit of the student’s educational success.

 

The work scope will entail interpreting during school events, including but not limited to: evening Parent Meetings, Fall and Spring Parent-Teacher-Conferences, Open Houses, Back to School Nights, Title I Meetings, etc. During the course of the interpreting session the interpreter will use consecutive and simultaneous interpreting techniques and they may be asked to sight translate a document, while abiding by the National Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice for Interpreters in Education.

 

PLEASE NOTE: The translator/Interpreter services performed by current WCASD employees must only be provided outside of the contracted employee work day.
