The West Chester Area School District has the following position:

               

 

Summary:

 

A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a credentialed paraprofessional who works one-on-one with students receiving Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to implement their intervention plans.  The RBT will work closely with the special education teachers and school teams to implement behavior plans for students.

 

Qualified candidates will be required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and to talk and hear; Sit and occasionally be required to stand, walk, jog, stoop, kneel and crouch; assist with self help skills, have the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; possess effective communication, judgmental, planning and human relations skills, and will be required to work under periods of stress due to the level of the position responsibility.

 

Candidates will uphold a thorough understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) terminology to include, but not limited to: antecedent, shaping, reinforcement, naturalistic teaching, prompting and prompt fading, and chaining.  In addition, conduct assessments, collect, graph and describe data.

 

To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.

 

**Assignment and location are determined following the interview process.

 

Salary: $24.97/hour - As per Support Staff Contract on our website.
