The West Chester Area School District has the following Health and Phsyical Education teaching position available at the secondary level: (certification requirement - appropriate, valid PA certification)
- 1.0 - Health and Physical Education Teacher - Fugett Middle School
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in education with valid PA certification in appropriate subject area
- Knowledge of elementary/secondary programs and curriculum
- Meet professional teacher education requirements of the district and state
- Proficiency in the use of technology for individual communication and research
- Proficiency in presentation of technology to enhance small and large student group information & demonstration sessions
- Knowledge and implementation of relevant instructional technology
- Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface diplomatically with other teachers, administrators, parents, students, support staff and outside professional contacts
- Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total school program
*Candidates who do not have their PA teaching certificate must have the College Verification of Eligibility Letter which states that you have successfully completed the program and are eligible for certification.
